The HeForShe campaign is a powerful gender equality movement which calls to action advocates from all corners of the world. At its foundation, HeForShe urges people everywhere to understand and support the idea of gender equality. Gender equality is not just a women’s issue, it’s a human rights issue. The time for change is now.
Motivated by the powerful message of the HeForShe campaign, five filmmakers from all corners of the NYU community came together under one common and important cause to develop an ambitious film project. IN SUPPORT OF HEFORSHE showcases the courageous leaps and bounds UN Women is making towards global gender equality through the HeForShe movement, and provides students, teachers, activists, writers, actors, actresses, directors, producers, change makers and more the opportunity to express their support for HeForShe, and to participate in a dialogue that is changing the gender equality conversation world wide.
